General Packaging Information

Sustainable packaging is designed to minimize environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials like recycled, recyclable, compostable, or biodegradable options. At Ecopackables, we prioritize materials that support the circular economy, including post-consumer recycled plastics and uncoated, recyclable paper products.

The circular economy focuses on keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible, reducing waste and pollution. In packaging, this means using materials that can be recycled and reused, reducing the need for virgin materials and minimizing environmental impact.

 Product Specific

Yes, our poly mailers made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE 4) are recyclable. However, these are generally not accepted in curbside recycling programs. We recommend recycling them through plastic film collection points, often available at grocery stores.

Yes, our uncoated paper mailers are both recyclable and compostable. However, we recommend recycling as it supports the circular economy by keeping materials in use.

Yes, we offer compostable film options that are compatible with automated packaging processes. We can customize compostable bags and film to ensure they work seamlessly with your existing equipment.

Post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials come from items that have been used and discarded by consumers, like plastic bottles. Post-industrial recycled (PIR) materials come from waste generated during the manufacturing process, such as offcuts and scraps. Both contribute to reducing the need for virgin materials.

If you don't have vector files, high-resolution PNG or JPEG files may also work, though vector files are recommended for the most accurate reproduction.

We offer compostable packaging, which is a type of biodegradable material that breaks down into organic matter. It’s important to note that compostable products require specific conditions to decompose, typically in industrial composting facilities.

Yes, we can help you right-size your packaging, ensuring it’s tailored to your product dimensions, minimizing material waste. This helps reduce both environmental impact and shipping costs.

Recyclable packaging can be processed to create new materials, typically in specialized recycling facilities. Compostable packaging is designed to break down into organic matter under the right conditions, such as in an industrial composting facility, and cannot be recycled.
