Recycled materials are those that have already been processed and reused, like paper made from used paper. Recyclable materials are those that can be processed and reused in the future, such as plastic bottles that can be turned into new products.
Compostable poly mailers have a shelf life of about 1 year. Recycled plastic and recycled paper mailers do not have a defined shelf life and can be stored for extended periods.
While our mailers made from compostable, recycled plastic, and recycled paper materials are very water-resistant and can handle bad weather with ease, they are not guaranteed to be fully waterproof due to the way they seal. Like any traditional mailer, if submerged in water, the contents inside may still get wet. However, in typical rainy conditions, these mailers provide excellent protection for your items.
Compostable film is not recyclable because it breaks down differently from traditional plastics and can contaminate recycling streams if mixed in.
